Fast Air Appoints Founder of FlyEasy Shaan Bhanji to Lead Growth and Strategy

September 26, 2024

After recently announcing its expansion to Abbotsford International Airport, Fast Air continues along its growth trajectory to expand its leadership team by appointing Shaan Bhanji as Vice President of Growth and Strategy.

Founder of Avinode’s rival private aviation charter software platform FlyEasy, which was acquired by Directional Aviation’s spin-off Tuvoli back in August 2020, Shaan brings a unique combination of extensive experience in technology development, marketing insight, data analytics, and longstanding industry relationships to Fast Air.

Poised for significant growth in key markets beyond its home base in Winnipeg, Fast Air recognizes that investing in innovative business models by leveraging technology and digital marketing is crucial to accelerating its growing footprint in the charter, aircraft management, air ambulance, and FBO markets. Shaan joins a like-minded and dedicated team that is committed to providing a distinguished client experience, promising to surpass expectations and elevate every step along the customer journey.

Sparked by Fast Air’s recent expansion into Abbotsford, catering to the growing demands of the Vancouver lower mainland, and Toronto’s Billy Bishop island airport, servicing Canada’s corporate hub, Shaan’s appointment comes as a key strategic step along the company’s path to becoming the country’s core elite private aviation service. Dylan Fast, President and CEO of Fast Air, expressed his enthusiasm about Shaan’s addition to the leadership team, stating: “We’re excited to welcome Shaan to the Fast Air team during this dynamic phase of expansion. His extensive background in aviation technology and business strategy aligns perfectly with our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients. With Shaan’s guidance, we are confident in our ability to manage our existing growth and continue to strategically pursue new opportunities.”
